'Hashtag Blocked': Memes for blocking mean people on social media and keeping our peace of mind

The internet can be a wonderful place where you can connect with people all around the world and make new friends, or it can be a nightmare worthy of a Halloween horror story…The thing with the internet is that it's basically no man's land. It gives you infinite freedom to express yourself, for better or for worse, but the rules here are the same for everyone, and if we get the chance to express what we think, crazy people can do it too. It happens to celebrities and influencers all the time. They are public figures, and everything they say or do is constantly analyzed, and random people get to say what they think about their clothes, their appearance, the way they talk, and even their personalities as if they were lifelong friends, although they have never been anywhere near them. That seems to be the price of worldwide fame, unfortunately. Thank goodness we're not famous! Can you imagine? Being followed around and scrutinized constantly, and having a bunch of crazy, mean people posting random comments about us, sounds like the worst bad dream by far. What we all have is social media, and even if it's great for staying in contact with our friends and discovering the best memes (obviously), sometimes we can also come across a random hater. What did we ever do to them? No clue. They must be bored and alone, poor things, but that doesn't mean we have to bear their bad attitude. No, sir, we're not tolerating their bad vibes here; we're just blocking them. The beauty of social media is that we can click two buttons, block them, and completely forget about that person's existence. If only we could do the same with our annoying neighbors, our bad coworkers, our entitled bosses, and so on. The list is endless. There was an episode of Black Mirror that was just about that, right? If only that could come true. Sadly, it can't, at least not yet. Give it a couple of years to the tech experts, and we'll be blocking our entire extended family without having to move to Thailand, not to see them at the family gathering. For now, we're sticking to blocking toxic people on social media and making memes about it. We want to keep our vibes up high and our mental health intact.
