Whats you favorite Star Wars character? Answers to this question are really varied. Anakin is a popular choice, more than I had thought. Seems like people have a thing for morally ambiguous characters. Other than becoming the ominous villain of the saga, Anakin had some really good points going on for him, and in some cases, he's actually right. That's a terrifying thing when the guy who's meant to become evil is actually right about some stuff. For instance, his frustration over not being named Master even though they let them into the Council is completely understandable. It's like getting a promotion without a raise: more work for the same reward. In our world, we call that exploitation. He also seems to have really well-developed manipulation skills. That speech he throws at Padme, saying how Jedis are actually encouraged to love, is an excellent way to bend the truth to your own needs. It was that good that it actually worked. Of course, we could argue that Jedis were encouraged to love, but not to form attachments, but how does one work without the other? In a twisted and questionable way, he was right. And it seems that even Obi-Wan agreed to a certain degree. After all, he was perfectly aware of Anakin and Padme's marriage, and he still chose to look the other way. Still, not everything can be a virtue. Remember that speech he made after getting to Naboo with Padme? The "I don't like sand" thing? Seriously, kid, who taught you how to flirt? He was ever charming, ever cool up until that moment. During the Clone Wars show, he's basically a rizz master, and the best he could come up with then was that? Seems like he developed the talent over time. Still, even after flopping Flirting 101, Anakin managed to steal our hearts forever.
