The Kick A Ball Trend or How To Kick A Soccer Ball, also known as How To Properly Kick A Soccer Ball Trend, is a viral prank and dance trend in which people act like they're going to demonstrate how to properly kick a soccer (football) ball, only to miss the kick in a fake out, spinning and twerking at the camera instead. The thirst trap trend first emerged in late 2025 and spread into mid-2026 as social media users posted their own versions, usually dancing or twerking, though some subverted the trend by actually showing how to kick a ball correctly. The Kick A Ball Trend primarily spread on TikTok and Instagram Reels and has since spread internationally.
